Privacy Policy

TLDR;

Website dpihac.dev does not use cookies.

Being a privacy advocate and supporter myself, I tried to make this website as privacy friendly as possible. What does this mean?

  • No tracking cookies
  • Hosted inside the EU (Frankfurt)
  • Privacy friendly analytics (Plausible.io)

No tracking cookies

There's no cookies at all on this website, so no need for a cookie banner either. Enjoy 😉

Hosted inside the EU

This website is hosted by Digital Ocean in Germany, Frankfurt (EU). To make the loading times faster, CDN is enabled for this website via Cloudflare.

CDN

Some scripts are loaded from the CDN:

Membership and Newsletter

It is possible to become a member and subscribe to the Newsletter. To provide such a service, I need to know the following information:

  • your name (can be only first name or even nickname)
  • your email address

These are stored in the Ghost and are not handled by the third party newsletter platform. All newsletters are sent by using newsletter feature of the Ghost.

Your email address is kept private and not shared with third parties (excluding mail provider which needs it for email delivery).

No Analytics

Analytics are disabled in Ghost, which means:

  • no tracking of newsletter opens
  • no link click tracking

Third party provided Mailgun is used for sending out of the emails. It has been configured not to track open and click rates in the emails.

Email confirmation

Before you start receiving newsletter, I need to make sure that your email address is correct and that you and not someone else signed up. You will need to confirm the email address by clicking the "Confirm signup" in the confirmation email.

Unsubscribe

Don't want to receive newsletter anymore? No problem, it's easy to unsubscribe at any time by going to the portal or clicking the unsubscribe link in the email.

Privacy friendly Analytics

I would like to know how many visitors and from which countries visit this website and what is the most popular content. However, I also don't want to invade your privacy.

To make this possible, I use Plausible.io - privacy friendly and GDPR, CCPA, PECR compliant web analytics.
